BA English (H)

The BA English Honours programme is designed thoughtfully with an in-depth study of language, literature, and critical theory. The BA English syllabus expose students to literature in various genres, from several historical periods and with different world perspectives-oriented towards fictitious narratives endowed with analytical and interpretative mechanisms. The curricula let mention the traditional text set alongside contemporary discourses so as to make learners aware of an increasingly unfolding conception of literature in the presence of social, cultural, and political developments.

The subjects of BA (Hons) English cover each aspect of literature, from classical to modern texts, as well as topics on social, cultural, and political issues that all become points for the study of contemporary issues of our time. This more dynamic and interdisciplinary approach will create an appreciation for literature while emphasising the ability to think critically, communicate, and conduct research sufficiently.
