Why Pursue?

Civil engineering functions as the fundamental engineering discipline which leads all other engineering fields. Engineer’s Day stands  as a tribute to Sir M. Visvesvaraya who was born on this day and made his mark  as a remarkable civil engineer. The field has been emerging rapidly because it supports national programs including Smart  Cities Mission and Digital India Mission.

Placement Support

Placement support is provided by the CRC and CDC departments. Regular internal mock interviews are conducted to boost students’ confidence.

Capstone Project & Research

Students are engaged in emerging areas of civil engineering, including disaster management, sustainable materials and construction practices, and the application of AI and ML in various civil engineering domains.

Student Support Services

A vertical and horizontal mentor-mentee system is in place to provide comprehensive support to students.

Placement Statistics

For the 2024 batch, 90% of students were placed. For previous years, placement statistics are available on the department's official website.

Global Exposure

Students who join international conferences and seminars should take advantage of these events to create professional connections which lead to internship opportunities and project placements and higher education possibilities.

Innovation & Startups

The Manav Rachna Business Incubator supports students, alumni, and faculty in research, innovation, and entrepreneurship. The facility provides resources for designing and manufacturing alongside mentorship programs and expert networks and capital access through multiple sources. The incubator provides tailored innovation-based incubation help together with regulatory support and financial backing as well as capacity development initiatives.

Alumni Network

Two alumni sessions are organized each semester.

Future Career Prospects

Career options include government jobs, education, consultation, the construction industry, and research and innovation.
