  • The Department of Biotechnology at Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (MRIIRS) operates as an accredited 'A++' Grade Institution and Deemed-to-be-University established under the UGC Act (1956) Section 3 since 2002 within the Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET).
  • The department delivers a full academic curriculum that features B.Tech Biotechnology and M.Tech Biotechnology as well as B.Sc Microbiology and M.Sc Microbiology. The department runs an active Ph.D. program which concentrates on Biotechnology and Life Sciences research. The B.Tech Biotechnology program receives instruction from faculty members who have earned M.Tech and Ph.D. degrees in various biotechnology disciplines. The department achieves superior research quality through faculty members who have authored more than 400 journal articles published in well-known national and international scientific publications.
  • The Department of Biotechnology (DBT) together with the Department of Science and Technology (DST) offer necessary financial support to research projects which study biopharma and agri-biotech and diagnostics and horticulture and food sciences.
  • The department maintains six contemporary laboratory facilities which include the Cell Biology Lab, Microbiology Lab, Fermentation Technology Lab, Molecular Biology Lab, Environmental Biotechnology Lab and Bioinformatics Lab. The laboratories feature advanced scientific instruments which include HPLC, Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy, IR Spectroscopy, Fermenters, Gel Documentation Systems and PCR machines.
  • The department develops students into proficient Biotechnologists who will revolutionize agriculture and healthcare and environmental restoration and industrial biotechnology through its detailed industry-specific B.Tech Biotechnology curriculum. Eligibility

Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in five subjects. Eligibility will be determined based on the aggregate percentage in the following subjects:
