Programme Overview
Microbiology is the study of microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, protozoa, algae, and prions. These tiny living organisms are important to us in terms of health, the environment, agriculture, and almost all industry. They're everywhere, and they infect us, and they create good things like antibiotics, enzymes, alcohol, and foods that are fermented. They also break down organic matter, which is essential for healthy ecosystems.
Bachelor of Science in Microbiology is designed to equip students with a solid grounding in principles of microbiology, laboratory procedure, and practical skills to allow them to trace the scope of this discipline. Employing outcomes-based instruction, students acquire generic skills and knowledge that meet industry requirements. The syllabus includes scientific information, ethical awareness, and practical relevance to make the graduates as competent professionals handle issues on local, national, and global levels.
