The BA (Hons.) in Media & Communication prepares students to develop fundamental abilities in journalism and media as well as digital communication. The curriculum combines academic theory with practical experience which develops students' abilities in storytelling as well as media production and public relations and advertising and digital strategy for present-day media careers.
Specialisation
The specialization emphasizes both technical and creative elements which form the core of media content development. Through their studies students learn to create both audio and video productions while also mastering cinematography along with editing and directing techniques. The academic program combines real-world studio practice with theoretical knowledge from the industry to train students for success in film television digital content and multimedia production positions.
The specialization provides practical education for students who want to develop skills in film television and digital content production. The curriculum teaches students how to produce videos and edit them while building their skills in sound design and camera operation through both studio activities and professional assignments. The Department provides students with two educational programs which include a three-year pass course and a four-year honours degree in Media & Communication Digital Journalism specialization.
