    BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) from a recognized dental college

    Valid entry test score (e.g. NEET MDS in India or equivalent national test for other nations)

    Educational Qualification

    Must have BDS degree from any registered dental institution or college under the Dental Council of India.

    Should have cleared the NEET-MDS conducted by the NBE.

    Foreign Nationals (when and if the case is applicable):

    Allowed to be introduced under sanction of the DCI and applicable scholastic authorities.

    Obligated to seek prejoining temporary DCI (subject to sanction) registration.

    • Must possess BDS degree from a recognized institution/dental college by DCI.
    • Must have mandatory 1-year internship on or before 31st March of the year of admission.

    • NEET-MDS mandatory for admission (held by the National Board of Examinations (NBE)).
    • Admission solely on merit/rank secured in NEET-MDS.

    Single entrance test acceptable for MDS courses in India is National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for Master of Dental Surgery (NEET-MDS).

    Minimum Qualifying Percentile

    The candidates shall have the following percentile cut-offs at least for shortlisting:

    • General (UR) – 50th percentile
    • SC/ST/OBC – 40th percentile
    • UR-PwD – 45th percentile
    • Cut-offs can be relaxed by Government in exceptional cases.
